Hello Everyone Where have I been? After my last post I went to physical therapy for my hip and after a while I began to have a problem with my knee. I think maybe one might have been the result of the other. At the end of July I had my right knee replaced. (That's my driving leg!) Sunday Chat and Fall Color from From My Carolina Home

Fall is coming into some color now, and the turkeys are back. This bachelor flock of four are coming by frequently now. It is fun to see them appear, pecking around for tidbits and acorns. They are a bit shy, only one will come close enough to get a bite of whole grain bread thrown out onto the lawn.

A second flock of mixed male and females has nine turkeys in the group. They are still just a bit skittish about coming up for bits of whole grain bread, too, but a few will brave it. The rest hang back ...

Autumn Activities from Needle and Foot

This is my favorite time of year. Not because of all the pumpkin spice lattes either. (I am not a fan of sweet coffee.) But the weather, oh how I love this weather! I also love that we live in an area with great fall colors.

The maples in our yard are gorgeous. I wish the leaves lasted longer. It seems like they fall so quickly once they change colors. We try to really enjoy them while they are here though. So much so, that we have learned the succession in which our trees tend to turn color. It is ...
